On November 23, 2018, the second working meeting of China-Tanzania Joint Research Center of Geoinformation (hereinafter referred to as CTRCG) in 2018 was held at China TopRS Technology Co., Ltd. (TopRS). Li Yingcheng, general manager of TopRS, director of China side, and Evaristo Liwa, executive vice President of ARDHI university, director of Tanzania, present at the meeting. Five Chinese and Tanzanian researchers from the joint research center attended the meeting. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of related work since the first working meeting of the joint research center in 2018, and discussed the key advancement work in 2019.

The two sides agreed to work together to strengthen the construction of joint research centers and deepen cooperation. Efforts should be made to promote cooperation between the departments of surveying, mapping and geographic information of the two countries, cooperation on science and technology projects between the governments of the two countries and the establishment of a national level geographic information research joint laboratory.

At the meeting, four researchers from ARDHI university and the Tanzanian bureau of surveying and mapping reported on their studies and work in China. After the meeting, vice President Evaristo Liwa and others also visited the TopRS data processing demonstration application center.
